Lincoln Horsley — With their 25-20 win over the Licking Heights Hornets last Friday night, the Licking Valley Panthers have clinched a birth in the 2022 state playoffs.
The 5-5 Panthers earned the No. 12 seed in Region 15 and will take on the the No. 5 seed in the Region. The 8-2 Gallia Academy Blue Devils.
The Gallia Blue Devils started their season off undefeated at 7-0 before they lost 2 games games by a total of only 11 points. They came back with a 53-11 win over the South Point Pointers in there season finale.
Licking Valley understands what that is like all too well. This season Valley lost back-to-back games by a total of only 6 points before finally getting back into the win colum with their season finale victory over Licking Heights.
The first round playoff game between the Panthers and the Blue Devils will be played Friday October 28th, at the Blue Devils Memorial stadium in Gallipolis, OH.
Tickets must be purchased online at www.ohsaa.org/tickets , Division 4 Region 15. NO GATE TICKET SALES. Parking at the stadium and at the nearby elementary school will be $5. Parking on the street is FREE.
